Garden Update

Here are some pictures to show the growth of our home gardens. We have a blooming beavertail cactus in the front yard. Jasmines are in full bloom in the back yard. Berries, daisies, tomatos, lilies, bluebells, and many other flowers are blooming in out back garden. Compare these to pictures from several posts ago to see the difference. We also have peppers and lettuce growing.

You will notice we have a working compost pile in our back garden area. The important thing we don't have a picture of is that our neighbor's horses like to eat our blackberries.

Sally's birthday

Sally and Brandon moved into their new house in May. One of the first official celebrations was Sally's birthday, complete with presents, cake, and family.

Young Family Reunion

May 5th we visited Colette and Debrah along with Aunt Winnie and Drew in Porterville. We all attended the annual Young family reunion held in Visalia. It was a great opportunity to see cousins we haven't seen for several year.

We traveled cross country to see some new sights. We enjoyed the drive through rough territory on our way to see Lake Isabella in central California, oon our way back to Yucaipa.

Redlands Flower Show

Late in April, we to the Redlands Flower Show and visited several homes in Redlands. This was a great way to get new ideas for our home garden.
